On Friday 13th June, year 3 enjoyed a morning of baking Stone Age bread for a measures across the curriculum day, organised by Mr Smart.
We had a recipe from Ug, the Boy Genius of the Stone Age. First we had to weigh out the ingredients to make two types of bread, a plain bread and a fruit bread. Then whilst the bread was baking we had to convert the amount of ingredients from kilograms to grams.
Who can remember how we did that?
We even had to adapt the quantity of ingredients needed for the fruit bread, by halving.
We also used different types of scales. Can you remember what types?
How did we measure the water?
What did the bread taste like?
