Hope this week has gone well for you all.
We are very aware that remote learning can be tricky so please do what you can while ensuring that this does not end up causing arguments at home. We are here for you if you want to talk about anything or discuss what will work for your child and your circumstances.
Remote learning
Please can I just remind parents of a few key things in relation to remote learning:
- Parents should not be visible or join in with any of the zoom lessons unless asked to specifically.
- Staff are contactable during the school day and will aim to respond to messages as soon as possible; staff need to be able to switch off after work too and therefore may not respond to messages sent in the evening and at weekends
Covid in Hodge Hill
The current rate for Hodge Hill is 1,066 per 100,000 people, which is well above the national average, the highest in the local area and an increase on last weeks figures. https://coronavirus.data.gov.uk/details/interactive-map)
Please ensure you are limiting your movements wherever possible and staying at home and following the guidance issued for this lockdown.
School Places during lockdown
We currently have around 45 children able to attend school and we are supporting these children and their families with this provision.
We have also been issued with new guidance which states:
“Parents and carers who are critical workers should keep their children at home if they can.”
We know that this is not always possible, and we are open to those who have no other alternatives due to being a critical worker, along with those who need to be in school due to vulnerabilities.
