Dear all,
We are now a month into the school year, and everyone has settled back well. Staff have been working hard to settle the children back into learning and school life, while continuing to provide remote learning activities for those at home. We have utilised technology well to enable, when needed, lessons to be streamed into the classroom by teachers from home ,and for children at home to join in with lessons at school.
The children have been amazing and have adapted well to the ‘new normal’. We have been working hard to ensure we are focussed on their wellbeing but also getting information about their learning. Staff will be using a training day on the 2nd November to discuss each pupils learning in more detail and plan out key interventions for the rest of the term.
Booking for parents evening (Reception – Year 6) will open on Monday so keep an eye out for the text/email for booking details.
We have some exciting information about the provision of Ipads to all children in in Years 1-6, so please see the main update to see how you can support this and help accelerate your child’s learning.
Just a few key covid reminders:
- If anyone in your household has symptoms – you MUST ALL stay at home; DO NOT come onto the school premises.
- Contact school via telephone as soon as possible.
- Get tested: the guidance is very clear: Do not wait to get tested – apply for the test as soon as you have symptoms.
- Contact school when you get the result
