Sports Update
Year 3 and 4 Tennis
On Tuesday 19th April, 8 children from Year 3 and 4 entered the Mini Red Tennis competition at Kingsbury. There were 15 schools taking part in three groups. Both of Colebourne’s teams came second in their groups. In the first game they played, they all won their games. It was a fantastic effort, well done!
Mega Fest Rugby
On Tuesday 25th April, ten children from Year 5 and 6 entered a rugby festival with 13 other schools in the partnership. We had to take part in lots of different activities that were based on the skills of Rugby. Throughout the festival, the group showed outstanding ‘Respect’ for each other, sports leaders and staff, so they were crowned overall winners and are through to the Level 3 competition in the summer. Well done!
On Monday 9th May, six children from Year 2 took part in the Kingsbury football competition. There were 11 schools involved and there were 5 other schools in Colebourne’s group. They did superbly well, scoring 13 goals and winning four out of the five games. This meant we were through to the 3rd and 4th playoff against Birches Green. We won 2-0 and so came third overall in the competition, coming home with bronze medals. Another great afternoon for Colebourne!
