Remembrance 2014

Y6 Crime and Punishment ‘wow’ day

Fathers’ Day Breakfast
Today we hosted our 3rd Annual Fathers’ Day breakfast. We enjoyed a superb full English breakfast followed by a challenge to build a structure. Points were awarded for design, how much weight they could hold, height and the wow factor.
Instruction Writing
In Literacy, Year 5 have been writing instructions. They wrote some fantastic instructions for a new game called ‘Captains Coming’ that Reception could play linked to their theme of Pirates. Both Year 5 and Reception had a brilliant time reading the
Talented artists
A few children currently in Y5 were chosen to do a gifted and talented art project. They collectively created a piece of art work promoting equality. The artwork is now ready to be sent to this year’s annual NASUWT art
Sports Relief 2014

First Aid Training
Year 5 became Young First Aiders after a day of training by St John’s Ambulance. We had a fantastic day, learning about CPR and how to bandage a wound.
