Our English curriculum has a high focus on purpose and audience for children’s work. We follow the National Curriculum and children learn through a range of reading, writing, and speaking & performance skills. Children have the opportunity to read a variety of texts during their time at school. You can read about our approach to reading by clicking here. Children also are read to most days and we use set texts based upon the National Literacy Trust’s 100 books to read for children. Each classroom door features one of these books.
